Tokyo
Flight - You will want to contact your travel
agent for flights in and out of the area. Ask about
the price war airline fares and who has the lowest
ones. You should be able to get a really good price
on your flight to Tokyo. Another good way to save
is to book online. They do offer special savings if
you buy your ticket that way. Also look into package
deals that offer flight, hotel and car rental savings.
You will find that you can save to if you are willing
to travel on very short notice.
Once you arrive in Tokyo you will find that the Tokyo
Narita Airport has two terminals. The Terminal
1 handles mostly US and European airlines' flights.
The second terminal is for Japanese and Asia Pacific
carriers. Both terminals have their own train station.
Getting to and from the airport is rather simple although
time consuming. We suggest you consult with your hotel
to see if has a shuttle because it is advisable for
you to take advantage of that service. There is a
limousine bus and a regular bus that runs every half
an hour. Taxis are available, but they are pretty
expensive. The airport is 40 miles from the city of
Tokyo and it takes 90 minutes, but huge amounts of
traffic can make it take up to three hours. Be prepared
for it to take time to get where you want to be. If
you need to contact the airport for any reason you
may do so at Tokyo Narita International Airport
